CRAFTED SAKE FROM SHIGA

Taiko sake is brewed using our home grown Yamada Nishiki rice in Shiga Prefecture, and the underground filtered water from Ibuki mountain; adapting the traditional sake making craftsmanship in the brewing process, Taiko sake has a clean, smooth taste, with authentic and sophisticated flavour.

Since 1672, the Yoshikawa family have been perfecting sake from the tranquil confines of the Ibukimountain in Shiga prefecture. Through the honored traditions of their ancestors,quality sake of the highest degree has been tempered by Japanese attitude of simplicity and detail. "Tai” "Ko” literally means large lake. For generations, the Yoshikawa family brewery is situated surrounding Biwa Lake, it is within the family to advocate this sublime beauty of biwalake combined with traditions of the past. Combined along with sake making craftsmanship and respect for creating sake that is time immemorial, the Yoshikawa family is thankful; they are able to share all this through Taiko sake.
